Type
The Type option is exclusively related to the Analog input Peripherals.
By default, all ADC-capable Peripherals are considered to be Analog.
However, if this behavior is undesirable, the Analog
button within the Type option can be deactivated,
which makes the input effectively behave as a Plain digital input.
In this case, the input will assume a LOW
state if the voltage present on the respective pin is below 1.6V, and a HIGH
state otherwise.
Mapping and Calibration settings will then become obsolete.
If a bare ESP8266 chip is used instead of a development board such as
WEMOS LOLIN D1 mini
or NodeMCU
, the threshold is changed to 0.5V
.
